When a problem is encountered with a drainage system, a closed-circuit television (CCTV) survey of drains, pipes and sewers provides an accurate, cost-effective way to detect what is wrong and help determine the most practical options for repair. Anzel Ltd, a division of Tatana Contracting Ltd, uses special cameras to look inside pipes to locate any issues. As the camera travels along the pipe, the image is relayed to a monitor screen above ground. The operator will then log any structural defects and record the location of each defect along the pipe length. Survey reports are provided, listing the type and location of any defects. This can be backed up by photographs or video records with a site plan showing the location of the drain.
Anzel Ltd’s camera equipment and services are continuously being expanded and utilised as the demand for CCTV inspections has increased. All video footage can be downloaded to our AS/NZ Standards software package ‘Pipe Tech’ which is standard for all our camera equipment.
