SERVICE CONNECTIONS
Don't have a building consent or resource consent?
If you don't have a building consent or resource consent, please do not apply for a new connection or disconnection without contacting Council first.
How To Apply:
Step 1. Check your details
Ensure you have a Building Consent or Resource Consent - you'll need the number to complete your application form.
Step 2. Obtain your quote
You can select one or more to get in touch with, to obtain a quote for the connection). Before getting in touch, ensure you have all the relevant consent information available, including conditions relating to the connections, online mapping details and any specific requirements.
Step 3. Accept your quote and engage the approved contractor
You'll need to state which contractor you'll be using on the application form. Please note you'll need to pay the cost of the connection directly to the approved contractor, as per the agreed terms.
Step 4. Apply and pay online
Complete and submit the Council's application form and pay the associated fee.
For new connections you'll need to supply:
Payment can be made at the time of applying.
FOR ALL WORKS WITHIN THE COUNCIL RESERVE
Power connections: you will need to contact Electra or Scanpower , they will then contact us for a quote to do your work.
Telecommunications connection: your electrician would have applied for a new connection and should have plans and approvals from the asset provider. We will need a copy of these.
Water and Sewer connections: we will need a copy of your approved Resource Consent from Council, along with your Surveyors drainage plan.
WORKS WITHIN A PRIVATE PROPERTY
Power connections: Please provide a copy of the approved Resource Consent from Council, along with your Surveyors drainage plan.
Telecommunications connection: Please provide a copy of the approved Resource Consent from Council, along with your Surveyors drainage plan.
Water and Sewer connections: Please provide a copy of the approved Resource Consent from Council, along with your Surveyors drainage plan.
All of the above will need to be provided prior to a quotation being completed.
OUR CHARGES
*Tatana Contracting Limited charge a fee of $100.00 for Water and / or Sewer Service Connection quotations. On acceptance of the quote the $100.00 fee will be deducted from your final invoice.
(This fee is payable prior to provision of your quotation)
If quotation ia accepted, a 50% deposit is required prior to work commencing.
*All pricing is GST exclusive.
